The Forge Center is a learning center in West Philadelphia, designed to integrate traditional, digital, and artistic literacy inspired by Philadelphia’s significant blacksmithing history, a trade essential to the city’s growth during the colonial and industrial eras. This deep historical connection is interpreted through a design based on the collision and resilience of metal forging. The center is a workshop designed to forge and strengthen human potential.
